Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 05/27/26

Last Updated: 06/22/26

Bathmath provides bathroom remodeling estimate tools, lead forms, and related services for contractors and homeowners. This Privacy Policy explains how Bathmath collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, use a Bathmath estimator, submit a remodeling estimate request, or interact with an estimator embedded on a contractor’s website.

Bathmath helps collect and route estimate requests, but contractors are independent businesses, and contractor follow-up after an estimate request is shared is the contractor’s responsibility.

By using Bathmath or submitting information through a Bathmath estimator, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use our services, and information generated through your use of the estimator.

Information you provide

When you use a Bathmath estimator or request a quote follow-up, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • ZIP code
  • Project notes
  • Bathroom remodeling project details
  • Answers to estimator questions
  • Estimated project range generated by the calculator
  • The contractor or estimator configuration associated with your submission
  • Any other information you choose to submit

Project and estimate information

The Bathmath estimator may collect and process information about your remodeling project, such as:

  • Project ZIP code
  • Bathroom type
  • Project scope
  • Bathroom size
  • Tub or shower plans
  • Finish level
  • Vanity or cabinetry plans
  • Shower glass preferences
  • Electrical or ventilation needs
  • Current bathroom condition
  • Timeline
  • Budget range
  • Homeowner status
  • Other estimator answers configured for a specific contractor

This information is used to generate a planning estimate and help the contractor understand your project.

Automatically collected information

When you visit our website or use an embedded Bathmath estimator, we may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Referring page
  • Pages or estimator screens viewed
  • Date and time of access
  • Approximate location derived from technical data
  • Security, diagnostic, and server log information
  • Submission status, delivery status, and anti-spam verification results

We use this information to operate, secure, debug, improve, and monitor our services.

Anti-spam and verification information

We may use anti-spam and verification tools to help determine whether submissions are made by humans and to protect our forms from spam, abuse, and automated activity. These tools may process technical information as part of the verification process.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Bathmath estimator
  • Generate a bathroom remodeling planning estimate
  • Send your estimate request and project details to the contractor associated with the estimator
  • Allow the contractor to review your project details and contact you about your remodeling request
  • Store lead records and submission history
  • Detect duplicate submissions
  • Prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized activity
  • Route leads to the correct contractor or recipient
  • Send transactional lead notifications
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Improve calculator accuracy, configuration, pricing assumptions, and service quality
  • Monitor performance, security, and reliability
  • Maintain business records
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, security, and operational obligations

3. How Estimate Requests Are Shared With Contractors

When you submit an estimate request through a Bathmath estimator, we may share your submitted information with the contractor associated with that estimator.

This may include:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • ZIP code
  • Project notes
  • Estimator answers
  • Estimated price range
  • Lead score or lead category
  • Submission time
  • Other project details needed to review your request

The purpose of this sharing is to allow the contractor to review your project information, respond to your estimate request, ask follow-up questions, schedule a consultation, provide quote-related information, or otherwise communicate with you about the bathroom remodeling project you submitted.

Contractors are independent businesses. Bathmath is not the contractor, does not perform remodeling services, does not provide contractor quotes, and does not control how a contractor chooses to respond to an estimate request.

Once your estimate request is shared with the associated contractor, the contractor is responsible for its own use of your information and its own communications with you. This includes the contractor’s follow-up methods, timing, frequency, message content, call practices, text messaging practices, email practices, scheduling process, quote process, privacy practices, and compliance with applicable communication laws and policies.

Bathmath is not responsible for a contractor’s communications, conduct, services, estimates, pricing, availability, representations, or handling of your information after your estimate request has been provided to that contractor.

A contractor’s use of your information may also be governed by that contractor’s own privacy policy, terms, notices, procedures, and communication practices.

4. Communications From Bathmath and Contractors

When you submit an estimate request, you agree that Bathmath may use your information to process your submission, operate the estimator, send transactional messages related to your submission, and route your request to the contractor associated with the estimator.

You also agree that the associated contractor may use the information you provide to contact you about your bathroom remodeling estimate request.

These communications may include:

  • Transactional emails related to your submission
  • Contractor follow-up emails
  • Phone calls from the contractor
  • Text messages from the contractor, if the contractor uses texting for estimate follow-up
  • Scheduling, project review, or quote-related communications
  • Other communications related to the bathroom remodeling request you submitted

Bathmath may send or facilitate transactional communications related to the estimator or your submission. Contractor communications are separate from Bathmath communications.

After your estimate request is shared with the associated contractor, Bathmath does not control the contractor’s follow-up practices. Bathmath is not responsible for how often the contractor contacts you, what methods the contractor uses to contact you, the content of the contractor’s communications, whether the contractor calls, emails, or texts you, or how the contractor manages opt-out or communication preferences.

If you no longer wish to receive communications from a contractor, you should communicate that request directly to the contractor. Bathmath may not be able to stop, access, modify, or control communications sent from a contractor’s own phone, email, text messaging, CRM, scheduling, or business systems.

Bathmath does not currently use your estimate request to send unrelated promotional messages on behalf of multiple unrelated companies.

5. How We Share Information

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Bathmath, users, contractors, or others

If Bathmath is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Bathmath does not currently sell personal information.

Bathmath also does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms may be defined under certain state privacy laws.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the contractor relationship, legal requirements, and operational needs.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include access controls, secure transmission methods, abuse-prevention measures, monitoring, vendor security controls, and internal procedures that limit access to information based on business need.

We also take steps to detect and reduce spam, fraudulent submissions, automated abuse, and unauthorized activity involving our services.

No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. However, we work to maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we collect and the services we provide.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We may also retain information where permitted or required for legal, security, fraud prevention, business record, or operational purposes.

10. California and Other State Privacy Rights

Certain U.S. state privacy laws may provide residents with additional rights regarding personal information. Depending on your state and whether a particular law applies to Bathmath, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or receive information about certain data practices.

Bathmath does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Bathmath may use cookies, local storage, pixels, server logs, analytics tools, or similar technologies to:

  • Operate the website and estimator
  • Maintain security
  • Prevent spam and abuse
  • Understand usage and performance
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Improve the service

Some embedded tools, security providers, hosting providers, or analytics providers may also process technical information when you interact with our website or estimators.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete certain cookies, but some features may not work properly if required technologies are disabled.

12. Embedded Estimators on Contractor Websites

A Bathmath estimator may be embedded on a contractor’s website using an iframe or similar technology.

When you use an embedded estimator:

  • Bathmath may collect and process your estimator answers and submission information.
  • The contractor’s website may separately collect information under its own privacy policy.
  • Your estimate request may be routed to the contractor associated with that embedded estimator.
  • Technical information may be collected by Bathmath, the contractor’s website, and relevant service providers.

Bathmath is responsible for the Bathmath estimator and Bathmath’s handling of submitted information while operating the estimator and routing the estimate request.

Contractors are responsible for their own websites, privacy practices, communication practices, follow-up processes, quote processes, remodeling services, and handling of information after the estimate request is provided to them. Bathmath does not control and is not responsible for contractor communications or contractor conduct after that handoff.

13. Children’s Privacy

Bathmath is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

14. International Users

Bathmath is operated from the United States. If you access Bathmath from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we update it, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Changes are effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
